Every year, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Higher Studies
(Mumbai) conducts an entrance test- Narsee Monjee Management Aptitude
Test (NMAT). The said institute conducts the entrance test to admit
students to its post graduate program in the field of Management,
that is, Master of Business Administration (MBA). The course is a

Narsee Monjee Institute of management and higher studies was
established by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal Educational Trust, in
the year 1981. In 2003, the institute acquired the status of a Deemed
University and was awarded with ISO 9001 : 2000 certification. The
exam is conducted by the said institution for admission to its MBA
core, MBA (Pharmaceuticals Management), MBA (Actuarial Science), MBA
(Capital Markets), MBA (Banking), MBA (Part time), PhD program in
Management. Two years post qualification work experience will be
preferred. You should know how to prepare for NMAT exam as you
will need to have the following to seek admission into colleges.

Merit list on the first 2 stages with marks in 10+2 examination.
After
that comes the counselling session of the selected candidates.
All
those who register successfully are called for the NMAT exam,
provided they keep up with the criteria expected for eligibility (
that is, the candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any stream
with at least 50% marks. Those in the final year of the graduation
can also apply. Candidates having work experience will be preferred).
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of NMAT score,
Group Discussion, Personal Interview, Presentation (as applicable)
and work experience. The selection criteria will be based on the

The

What makes NMAT different?

Each question carries 3 marks with no negative marking.
•
120 questions in 120 minutes, with each section having specific time
limit.
•
22 minutes are there for Verbal Ability (32 questions), 38 minutes
for Logical Reasoning (40 questions) and 60 minutes for Quantitative
Aptitude (48 questions).
•
You are allowed to set the section preference in which you want to
take the test.
•
There is sectional cut off as well as overall cut off.
•
Overall cut off varies between 210 – 215.
What should be the order of sections?
This
should solely depend on your strong and weak areas. To set the right
score and ensure that you have high confidence throughout the paper,
it is suggested that you start the paper from your strongest section.
